Armin Kelly

 

Armin Kelly is the founder and owner of Guitars International located in Cleveland, Ohio. Guitars International is one of the largest retailers of fine new individually handmade classical guitars in the world. He is also the artistic director of the Guitars International Distinguished Artists Series which his company presents and underwrites annually in cooperation with the Cleveland Institute of Music. Now entering its twelfth season, the Distinguished Artists Series is devoted to nurturing local appreciation of the performer’s art through the presentation of the world’s foremost classical guitarists in solo and ensemble concerts of traditional and contemporary music. Mr. Kelly studied classical guitar for ten years with, among others, Oscar Ghiglia and Phillip de Fremery. He received his B.A. and M.A. degrees in English literature from Columbia University and M.A. degree in teacher education from Harvard University.
